The early childhood sector is facing numerous challenges, with one of the most significant ones being
the
shortage of qualified professionals. To address this issue, the Grandir group is making substantial
investments and planning to open the Grandir Academy on March 11, 2024. The academy aims to train
qualified
Nursery Assistant profiles to ensure the quality of child care. Les Petits Chaperons Rouges, the leading
private nursery manager in France, founded in 2000 by Jean-Emmanuel Rodocamachi, is an example of a
similar
initiative. With over 800 nurseries and hosting more than 20,000 children daily, LPCR stands as the
second-largest educational player in France. Its mission is to contribute to the awakening of future
generations.
Located in Clichy, the Grandir Academy offers comprehensive training programs, including an
apprenticeship-based Nursery Assistant Training Institute (IFAP), which is a first for a private nursery
manager. The academy aims to become the reference employer in the sector by focusing on social utility,
coherence with its values, and the ability to develop skills. This initiative addresses the critical
need in
a sector that anticipates the creation of 20,000 childcare places by 2030 and faces a 40% shortage of
Nursery Assistants.
The academy has four training divisions, including the Validation of Acquired Experience, which enhances
the
experience of nursery teams, with a goal of 350 VAE completed in 2024. Continuing education supports the
daily professional life, with a goal of 7,000 validated courses in 2024. In addition, it also offers
digital
learning programs and the IFAP for training in the State Diploma of Nursery Assistant (DEAP).
The IFAP class at the Grandir Academy will start on March 11, with a theoretical training of 22 weeks
and
four internship periods. This training is fully funded by the Grandir group, demonstrating the group’s
commitment to training professionals of excellence, aligned with the fundamentals of their educational
foundation.
By launching the Grandir Academy, the LPCR group aims to address the shortage of qualified professionals
and
reaffirm its role as a pioneer, committed to recognized educational quality while ensuring the training
and
development of its employees. This commitment to educational and pedagogical excellence in early
childhood
marks a new step in the mission to contribute, step by step, to the awakening of future generations,
shaping
a future where every child benefits from the best care and attention.
